Social Action Committee Meeting
Second Monday of each month, 1:30 p.m – 3:00 p.m., Board Room
There are many needs in the Tucson community. We do what we can, but we can always use more help. Some examples are below:
Casa Alitas: They support asylum seekers for a few days as they go to their sponsors and need volunteers in many areas. There is a tour of the facility for us to learn where we can help, Sunday morning, Feb. 16th. Contact Bettina Shore firstname.lastname@example.org to join us.
Voter Services: We will be registering voters and helping to get out the vote in the upcoming elections. This will be critical for the 2020 election year. There is a team assembled to coordinate this effort. Contact Janet Belkin email@example.com to help out.
Wright Elementary: We can always use volunteers to work with students one-on-one in reading and math. We also have a Book Collection at the end of the year for students, and we collect school supplies at the beginning of the year. Contact Marc Sbar, email below, to volunteer.
To Get Involved With SJAC: You can join us at our meetings at 1:30 p.m., the second Monday every other month. Next meeting is on March 9th. Not a meeting person? Join us on any of our activities. For more information and to share your ideas, contact: Marc Sbar, chair firstname.lastname@example.org
There’s more…join us to find out about other projects. Contact Marc Sbar at email@example.com to answer your questions or give you more information.
