Shalom Students and Families,

ברוכים הבאיםBruchim Ha-ba’im, Welcome! Thank you for choosing us as your spiritual community! You are about to embark on an exciting journey in Arizona’s only accredited religious school. We are honored to be working with you and your family.

For all students entering grades 3 through 7, our Hebrew School meets on Thursdays from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., and the Religious School, for students in grades Pre-K through 7, meets on Sundays from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon. 8th grade students have a calendar of their own.

As an accredited school, we are constantly looking for ways to improve and implement positive changes that will contribute to the success of our students. This year we have established a Nut Prohibited Campus to allow students with nut allergies, who otherwise could not be a part of our program, join us in a safe and welcoming environment.

Living in the digital era, we as educators find that we can enrich our students’ learning experience by integrating the use of cell phones (when appropriate), tablets, and other electronic devices into our program. This allows us to engage different learners in ways we were not able to in the past. The staff will be using tools such as virtual display boards, online quiz games, word mosaics, and more to enhance our programs.

In addition to our existing computer lab, we now own a portable computer lab containing 30 Chrome Books, which will enable us to enhance our teaching both in Hebrew and in the Religious School and will ensure we can accommodate a larger number of students at any given time.

We look forward to working with you and your family. Please feel free to contact me with any questions/concerns you may have at (520) 900-7030 or rina@octucson.org.
