*OFFICIAL RULES: Tickets may only be purchased from Congregation Or Chadash between December 8, 2019 and March 9, 2020 on or before 7 pm. Only 972 Tickets will be sold. Adults age 18 years or older may enter. Congregation Or Chadash Raffle and Fundraising committee members may not enter. Winners need not be present to win. Winners must present a valid ID (driver’s license or birth certificate) to redeem prizes. Void where prohibited by law. THE FINE PRINT: Grand Prize Winner must elect accepting the Grand Prize or $5,000 Cash (in writing) on or before Monday, March 16, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. (noon). The Grand Prize and all Early-Bird Prizes must be redeemed within 30-days of the date of award or forfeited. If less than 246 tickets are sold, Congregation Or Chadash reserves the right replace the Grand Prize with the following “Substitute Cash Prize” as defined herein: “Substitute Cash Prize” is equal to “Residual Revenue” – all raffle program revenue less all raffle program expenses. Said Residual Revenue shall be divided 50/50 between Congregation Or Chadash and Grand Prize Winner. The “Substitute Cash Prize” shall be made within ten (10) business days of the date of the official Grand Prize Drawing to allow for reconciliation of all raffle program revenue and expenses. The IRS has taken a position that amounts paid for chances to participate in raffles, lotteries, or similar drawings for valuable prizes are not gifts, and therefore, do not qualify as charitable contributions. Congregation Or Chadash does not provide any guarantee or warranty associated with the Grand Prize. Winner understands that Congregation Or Chadash may be required to withhold taxes prior to distribution of any Cash Prize and/or that Cash Prize winners may be required to pay taxes for same. Congregation Or Chadash may reject any raffle entry submitted with payment that does not constitute, “Good Funds.” Fraudulent raffle entries will also be disqualified. Individuals and/or entities submitting such entries will be notified of disqualification, as soon as practical. Congregation Or Chadash shall not be held liable and assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, late, misdirected or non-delivered mail. No warranties are expressed or implied by Congregation Or Chadash. Raffle tickets may not be sold or transferred by ticket holder. By entering this raffle, entrants accept and agree to be bound by the terms, rules, limitations and restrictions and all decisions made by Congregation Or Chadash.
