Or Chadash & Jewish Community Center Collaboration
Hello Congregants,
As you may know, Or Chadash has partnered with the Jewish Community Center this summer to provide emergency day care for the JCC Taglit program. There was a recent article in the Jewish Post describing the Taglit program and our partnership with JCC. Click here to read the article.More
JCC/COVID-19 Information
Dear Congregants,
You may have heard that the guardian (who was not on our campus) of one of the JCC Taglit participants tested positive for COVID-19 this week. Taglit is a day program for young adults with disabilities and it is considered part of emergency care during the COVID-19 pandemic. With Board approval, we rented our classrooms to JCC for their Taglit program this summer (while our campus is otherwise closed). No one from Or Chadash is at risk as a result of this situation. More

Tikkun Olam in the Time of COVID-19
Our Social Justice and Action Committee has long-standing partnerships with charitable organizations all over Tucson. Today, more people than ever are in need of the support these organizations provide. Because of the pandemic we cannot support our partners with our volunteerism, but we can support them through our donations. Your contribution of any amount will enable our continued mission of Tikkun Olam – making the world a better place.
Support Distance Learning at Wright Elementary

When public schools closed, they made the transition to online classes. Unfortunately, many students at John B. Wright Elementary school did not have computers at home to access their lessons. Sheree Garcia, a 2nd & 3rd grade teacher at the school, purchased computers and food with her own funds and personally delivered them to students who need them. To help defray her costs, send a check to the John B. Wright PTO at the school address: 4311 E. Linden St., Tucson, AZ 85712, with Sheree Garcia in the memo line.
Prayer for Strength When I am Ill and Isolated
Dear God,
You are my refuge and my strength. Be with me in my time of loneliness and trouble. How much I need Your strength and Your presence in my life right now. I feel weak, depressed, anxious, and alone. I need Your help to face the hours and the days ahead.More
Community Food Bank
The Community Food Bank is helping more people than ever. You can help them!
The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona is no longer in need of volunteers because the National Guard is helping out. However, they do need cash donations because of increased demand for food, since a lot of people have been laid off. They expect some support from both the State and Federal governments, but need some short-term funding until that comes in. If you are able, click here to make donations directly to the Food Bank. Your contributions will be most welcome!
