Dear God,

You are my refuge and my strength. Be with me in my time of loneliness and trouble. How much I need Your strength and Your presence in my life right now. I feel weak, depressed, anxious, and alone. I need Your help to face the hours and the days ahead.

You know my innermost thoughts. I want to feel better. I want to be better. I want my health restored. Grant me, O God, the strength to face each hour of this and every day with the faith that tomorrow will be better than today. And, when it seems that I cannot even face this hour, fill me with sufficient strength to face the next five minutes.

I know that I can endure anything I face because You are with me. You are my very breath of life. With every breath I take in slowly, I am encouraged, I am fortified, I am heartened, and I am uplifted.

Each day is a blessing: a blessing received from my caregivers and family, and a blessing I can bestow upon those who enter my room. As I allow my despair to pass, I open the space for blessings to enter, and for that I am eternally grateful.

Sh’ma Yisrael, Adonai Eloheinu, Adonai Echad.

Hear O Israel, Adonai is our God, Adonai is one.

Adonai, I am amply blessed. I dedicate myself to bring blessings to those in need. Help me know that I cannot have joy, peace, and contentment if others do not have hope.
