Rachel Hoblitt has worked at Congregation Or Chadash since July 2018.
A native of Torrance, California, Rachel grew up as a member of Temple Menorah in Redondo Beach, California.
Rachel has a Bachelor of Arts in Music from San José State University and a Master of Music in Ethnomusicology from the University of Arizona. While completing her Masters degree, Rachel was a member of the prestigious Writers Lab at the SALT Center, working extensively with college students with learning disabilities. After graduating from Arizona, Rachel spent the next several years as the owner of Tucson LD Tutors, Tucson’s only learning disability specific tutoring service. In July 2017, Rachel was selected to join the faculty at Pima Community College, where she teaches courses in Music History.
When Rachel is not at Pima and Or Chadash, she performs around Southern Arizona with various jazz bands and in musical pit orchestras, tries to travel as often as possible with her husband Nathan, and is an avid fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers, New Zealand rugby, and cricket.
