The First Dorson Scholar-in-Residence
The first Scholar-in-Residence program took place on October 24-25, 2014 and featured Rabbi Gary Zola, Ph.D.
Rabbi Zola is the executive director of the American Jewish Archives in Cincinnati, the world’s largest freestanding research center dedicated to the study of the American Jewish Experience. He is also a professor of the American Jewish Experience at the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion.

Saturday presentations included a talk on American Jewish history and a lecture focused on his recently released book, We Called Him Rabbi Abraham: Lincoln and American Jewry.
