Step up to the $400,000 CHALLENGE
during the Congregation Or Chadash Bar Mitzvah Year!


An anonymous foundation is matching every new dollar pledged to the capital campaign by December 31, 2008. The foundation gifted $500,000 to the congregation in December 2007 to help build our sanctuary. We have received the first $100,000.

Since the challenge grant was announced at the February 17th Kick-off party, we have received $54,744 in new pledges and gifts in hand. Our goal is to reach the $3,000,000 mark and we are currently at $2,020,071.

A new Task Force is formulating the business plan for building our sanctuary; its members will complete the plan in late June and present it to the congregation in July. We are at a crossroads. In thirteen years, our congregation has accomplished so much to be proud of but our work is not finished. Only seven months remain in the year to raise the additional funds for matching.
